HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) _ Adtran Inc. (ADTN) on Wednesday reported second-quarter profit of $2.1 million. On a per-share basis, the Huntsville, Alabama-based company said it had net income of 4 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 19 cents per share. The networking equipment maker posted revenue of $172 million in the period. Adtran shares have increased 8% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 12% in the last 12 months. _____
